The main living areas and bedrooms are key areas to declutter (this is especially true if you’re in the middle of packing; try not to have multiple boxes amidst furniture).


Your home does not have to be spotless, but it should be cleaned as if you were expecting an important guest to come over. 

Vacuuming and dusting are the bare minimum, but you also pay attention to things like scattered toys, dead house plants, dirty clothes baskets and unmade beds. It may even be a smart investment to hire a professional cleaning crew to go over every nook and cranny.

First impressions are very important when selling a home and your home’s first impression will come from the photos buyers will review online.
